We LOVE movies. With a little vision, a hand full of artists and a few hundred thousand (or a few hundred million) dollars, movies help us look at the world from another perspective. Whether just for laughs or a holy mission to change our outlook, movies are a direct attempt at art imitating life and vice versa.

There is no escaping Ang Lee’s adaptation of E Annie Proulx’s short story of “Brokeback Mountain”. Depending on who and where you are in America, this is either a story of love, longing and the problem with it, or a full-on homophobic nightmare. While unrequited love stories are nothing at all new, when the two lead lovers are two, very butch, very otherwise straight cowboys, you have yourself a cornucopia of openly biased propaganda from all over the world.

Put these on a CD (gasp! the next out of date technology) or throw em on a playlist for your ipod and have fun!
