In Search of Cleo:Gina Gershon

You may remember Gina Gershon from such lovely pieces of eye candy movies like Showgirls(my personal ALL TIME fave) and that one lesbian movie that made every woman gay or straight want to have Gina fix their pipes, Bound. What you may not remember her for tho is her lesser known movies like Dreamland and cult favorite Prey for Rock & Roll, the latter one where she “unstudied” singing, due to her trained singer status, to belt out some vibrant and vicious rock tunes as the leader of an all girl band called the Clam Dandys.

A few other things you may not know about Ms. Gershon is that she has sung on Broadway, produced Prey for Rock & Roll when the financing disappeared, toured with Velvet Revolver when there was no Scott Weiland, wrote a book with her brother Danny called Camp Creepy Time, and has come out with a new album called “In Search of Cleo” which has tinges of Patsy Cline, Pat Benatar and even a little Michelle Shocked and if you have a tendency to hate actresses that try to sing(like I do) then I implore you to throw those prejudices out the window and search for Cleo along with Gina.
